The Point of it All
A love letter from God
Note: Below the poem is an audio clip of the author reading the poem.
I am your cup that you may drink,
your plate that you may eat.
I am your chair that you may think,
your calm reflection seat.
I am your road that you may walk,
your pavement cool and dry.
I am your floor of solid rock,
your ceiling of blue sky.
You ask me why I choose to be,
for you, these many things?
Not that you might worship me,
for all the joy that brings.
And not to make existence dull!
I want to see you whole.
I’m here to grant you life jammed full.
Dear one, I love your soul.
We’re here to live, so join the fun!
Stop feeling so morose.
Eternal life has now begun.
Tell all your guilt adios!
Join in with my whole family.
The party’s in full swing.
We celebrate eternally
in everlasting Spring!
